Aerin Zarrin

My name is Aein Zarrin. I was a medical student at the University of Toronto. As part of Dr. Geoffrey Liu’s laboratory, I am interested in the novel uses of artificial intelligence to extract clinical information from non-small cell lung cancer patients’ medical charts. Using such information, we will be able to infer how different lung cancer patients experience various complications, such as metastases and toxicities. As I am navigating my academic and clinical path in medicine, this project will allow me to gain a deeper understanding of how technology could personalize care for complex patients. In addition, I am optimistic that through such projects, other researchers could gain access to more comprehensive databases. Throughout my free time, I enjoy playing music and I am involved with several mentorship programs. Please do not hesitate to email me at aein.zarrin@mail.utoronto.ca if you think I could be of any help to you.
